Glenn Alan Bartels is a Harley guy from birth. A love for motorcycles is in his blood as the Bartels' family of Los Angeles, California, has been in the Harley-Davidson® industry for 30 years.

Seeing a need for Harley-Davidson® motorcycle rentals, in 1994, Glenn Alan took his five personal custom Harleys to pioneer the Harley-Davidson® Rental bike world.

Today, 17 years later, Route 66 carries over 150 late model Harley's for rent to the public, as well as movie production studios. Their clientele is predominantly European tourists here to become cowboys in the wild, wild, west, as well as local, weekend motorcycle enthusiasts.

Bartels' also has a large celebrity clientele, including former California Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger, Late Show Host Jay Leno, Bruce Springsteen, Steven Tyler, Bob Dylan, George Clooney, Mel Gibson, John Travolta, Bruce Willis, Peter Fonda and the list goes on.

At Route 66 Riders, we are the worlds first and only independent, Harley-Davidson® Authorized Rental Operator. We are true Harley-Davidson® motorcycle enthusiasts who love the freedom of riding the open road.
Our rental location in beautiful Marina Del Rey (Los Angeles), California is within easy riding distance of such scenic locations as Pacific Coast Highway, Hollywood, Las Vegas, Death Valley, Route 66, and the Grand Canyon.

We're not the biggest, and we're not trying to be... At Route 66 we believe the Harley-Davidson® experience is a personal, shared encounter. We enjoy seeing our customers come back from a day or month long adventure and hearing your stories from the open road.

We don't have an automated system, and you won't get a reservation number.

You are more than a number to us. When you make your reservation, you get to deal with a real live human being. Typically you're corresponding directly with one of the owners of Route 66.
